This 30-year-old actress/musician was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, into an family of actors - her mother is Sara Lynn Moore and father is Ira David Wood III. Wood's brother Ira David Wood IV is also an actor, and her aunt is a Hollywood producer.
She was home schooled and her first role was in TV movie In the Best of Families: Marriage, Pride & Madness (1994).
After couple of more TV movies and smaller TV series roles, Wood debuted on big screen in Digging to China (1997) alongside Kevin Bacon and Mary Stuart Masterson.
