The Toxic hitmaker has been at war with Federline for months after the former dancer demanded triple the $20,000 he already receives to help care for the couple's sons Sean and Jayden.
Britney's father Jamie, who serves as her conservator, reportedly offered his former son-in-law an extra $10,000 per-month, but Federline declined the sum, and is continuing his legal battle for more.
Attorneys for the two sides met in court earlier this month, when the judge ordered the pop superstar to help her ex with his mounting legal fees.
However, the lawmaker's decision wasn't all in Federline's favour – both parties were also instructed to each pay $10,000 to officials at a dispute resolution company in an attempt to settle the case out of court.
Their next hearing has been set for October 2018.
