Madeleine L'Engle wrote her bestselling book A Wrinkle in Time in 1962. It is a young adult, science fantasy novel about a girl named Meg, and her adventure across the universe, in search of her lost father.

L'Engle has won the Newbery Medal, Sequoyah Book Award and Lewis Carroll Shelf Award for A Wrinkle in Time, even though she had troubles publishing it.

A Wrinkle in Time is the first part of a Time Quintet series of book, also containing A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters and An Acceptable Time.

In 2003, Disney bought rights for the ecranization of this book, and made a TV film A Wrinkle in Time (2003).

Fifteen years later, Disney will release a big screen hit A Wrinkle in Time (2018). Directed by Ava DuVernay, and written by Jennifer Lee and Jeff Stockwell, A Wrinkle in Time (2018) features many famous actresses and actors: Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Pena.

The leading role of Meg will be played by a young, aspiring actress Storm Reid.
